Welcome to Tumut

Twenty one visual artists from The Australian National University arrived in the Tumut Region on Wednesday 12th March 2008 to commence the first of three five-day field trips to seek inspiration for making art. The group will focus on environmental issues and will seek community assistance in interpreting what they see. They will consult scientists, indigenous leaders, landholders, local Shire Officials, community organisations and local artists. The work that the artists produce will be exhibited in Tumut in August 2008.
